When we arrived about 1 hour and 45 minutes later, we were told we could not be seated until the exact "call ahead" time had elapsed. We called to see about reservations and all they offered was "call ahead" for 2.5 hours seating time from the time we called. While visiting Virginia and Washington last week, my wife found this place online. If you're passing nearby on I-66, it's very much worth an exit to get an excellent meal at reasonable prices. If you live in the northern Virginia area, you must visit CF. Even without call ahead seating, we've usually been seated in the restaurant shortly after our first drink has been delivered from the bar. CF has a lively bar as you enter on the right side. Decadent, and large enough to share with your companion. The dessert menu has about 5-6 items on it, and my two favorites are the key lime pie, and the bread pudding with caramel center, homemade ice cream, and bourbon-infused sauce. There are many others, and all have been prepared to perfection. Can't say enough good things about their entrees, including tuna steak, pecan encrusted trout, etc. Highly recommend either reservations (not possible for all seatings) or "call ahead" seating, which at least gives you a leg up on those who simply walked in. The menu at Coastal Flats seems to feature seafood, but it's ample enough for any taste.
It's easily accessible, and should you desire, there are several other great restaurants within sight after you park your car - for free.
